Dermatovenerology
The skin – the largest organ of the human body – plays a crucial role in our protection and overall health
Dermatology, the medical specialty dedicated to skin diseases and their complications, focuses on diagnosing and treating an impressive variety of skin conditions. There are thousands of recognized skin diseases, which can be caused by specific skin disorders, internal health issues, or may affect other organs as well.
Our experience in treating dermatological conditions spans over 25 years. During this time, we have been recognized with numerous national and international awards, published works in prestigious journals, and participated as speakers at both national and international conferences.
Our expertise is also reflected in the chapters we have contributed to medical treatises and scientific papers.
We provide conventional medical services, including dermatological treatments, biopsies, electrocauterization, and dermoscopy. However, we understand that skin diseases are often chronic and may frequently recur. For this reason, we have successfully integrated complementary therapies into our practice, achieving remarkable results in treating conditions such as psoriasis, cutaneous lymphoma, parapsoriasis, lichen planus, eczema, atopic dermatitis, molluscum contagiosum, common warts, alopecia, dermatitis herpetiformis, and urticaria.
A key area of focus for us has been the treatment of chronic ulcers, particularly those associated with diabetic foot. These ulcers are the leading cause of non-traumatic lower limb amputations. To prevent such severe complications, we recommend regular check-ups at intervals of at least three months.
We take pride in using integrated approaches that combine conventional medicine and complementary therapies, providing our patients with the best chances for healing and symptom relief. With extensive experience and a patient-centered approach, we are committed to supporting each individual on their journey toward healthy skin.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture – an ancient healing system focused on energy balance
Acupuncture is an ancient treatment system that aims to heal patients through the use of needles. The foundation of this method is energy balance. In acupuncture, illnesses are considered the result of an energetic imbalance in the body, often caused by an inability to live in harmony with nature, known as Tao.
According to acupuncture traditions, the energies in the universe are classified as yin (passive, feminine, cold, soft) or yang (active, masculine, warm, hard). These energies are also present in the human body, and an imbalance between them can lead to illness.
Energy blockages, which often manifest as pain, are another cause of disease.
Acupuncture involves inserting fine, sterile needles into specific energy points called meridians, which are energy channels regulating bodily functions. An abnormal energy flow through these meridians can lead to illness. By inserting the needles, the acupuncturist restores the normal energy flow—a process that is almost painless, with only a slight pinching sensation.
The needles used are sterile and disposable, and the treatment requires multiple sessions to be effective. During acupuncture, patients may experience pleasant sensations such as numbness, warmth, relaxation, or drowsiness. However, rare side effects include pain at the insertion site, bleeding, hematomas, or allergic reactions to the needles.
Acupuncture is effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including asthma, sinusitis, headaches and migraines, neuralgia, lower back and joint pain, cervical spondylosis, hypertension, insomnia, menstrual disorders, digestive issues, paresis, paralysis, as well as hearing and vision disorders.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy – a holistic approach to healing
Homeopathy, founded 200 years ago by the German physician Samuel Christian Hahnemann, is a treatment method based on the principle of similarity: a substance that cures a disease can produce similar symptoms in a healthy person. This concept also exists in conventional medicine, though it is less widely recognized.
Homeopathic medicines originate from mineral, plant, or animal sources and are described in the Materia Medica, a detailed compendium of remedies and their associated symptoms. A homeopath selects the appropriate remedy after a thorough consultation, analyzing the patient’s mental, physical, and general symptoms, classified according to intensity and importance.
Homeopathic remedies are diluted to the point where only an “energetic imprint” remains—the higher the dilution, the deeper the treatment. The goal is to restore the patient’s inner balance, leading to healing or relief. The treatment follows the principle of natural healing: mental symptoms improve first, followed by physical symptoms, even if initial aggravations of the condition may occur.
The duration of treatment can be long, and the process may bring old, previously suppressed conditions to the surface.
A homeopath may recommend lifestyle changes and a positive mindset, guiding the patient on their healing journey, though the ultimate responsibility lies with the patient.
Homeopathy is beneficial in treating anxiety, insomnia, migraines, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne), infectious diseases, impotence, menopausal disorders, bronchial asthma, weakened immunity, and even as a complementary treatment for cancer and diabetes. It can also relieve symptoms of pregnancy-related nausea, motion sickness, and seasickness.
Life Coaching
Life Coaching – a journey to self-discovery and well-being
Life coaching is a practice dedicated to guiding individuals in discovering and understanding their own behaviors, emotions, and reactions, which can significantly impact their health and overall well-being. Through this process, the goal is to provide support and direction, helping individuals identify the deeper sources of problems that contribute to physical or emotional discomfort.
People often associate stress as the root cause of illnesses, but in life coaching, we emphasize that it is not stress itself that causes harm, but rather how a person responds to stressful situations. Our reactions to life events can either promote or trigger health issues. That is why a crucial part of the process is helping people recognize the behaviors and responses that sustain discomfort or illness.
Life coaching involves open and introspective discussions, where the coach and client explore the root causes of issues and identify practical solutions for overcoming them. These sessions take place in a safe and confidential environment, encouraging the client to reflect on their thoughts and feelings. Sometimes, solutions become clear only after an emotional release, allowing the individual to better understand the source of their difficulties.
An essential aspect of this process is that the decision to change or eliminate harmful behaviors rests solely with the client. Life coaching does not force change but facilitates awareness and provides support along the client’s chosen path. At times, the coach may suggest potential sources of problems or simply listen in silence, offering the client the necessary space to find their own answers.
This process is about helping individuals discover their inner resources and build a more balanced and healthy life, based on conscious and responsible choices. Life coaching thus becomes a partnership in the journey toward becoming the best version of oneself.
Diabetic Foot Care
Diabetic Foot – understanding and prevention
The foot is the part of the body located below the ankle, and in patients with diabetes mellitus, it can be affected by serious complications, collectively known as “diabetic foot.” This term describes a range of specific foot-related health issues that can have severe consequences, including an increased risk of amputation.
Some of the conditions associated with diabetic foot include dry skin, plantar hyperkeratosis (thickening of the skin on the soles), and bacterial or fungal infections, which can affect both the skin and nails. One of the most common and severe complications is the development of ulcers, which currently affect about 5% of diabetic patients, while 25% of them will experience this issue at some point in their lives. If left untreated, ulcers can progress to gangrene—the death of tissues—which is one of the leading causes of amputations.
Diabetic neuropathy is another common manifestation, involving nerve damage in the feet. This condition leads to loss of sensation, which may appear as numbness, tingling, cramps, or burning sensations. Because of this reduced sensitivity, wounds or injuries often go unnoticed, worsening the patient’s condition.
In addition to neuropathy, arteriopathy, a circulatory disorder affecting the legs, is another frequent issue. It is characterized by pain while walking short distances and skin color changes, turning bluish or dark red. These symptoms indicate poor blood circulation, which can lead to further complications.
Understanding and managing these conditions are essential in preventing serious complications. We offer specialized prevention and treatment services for all these conditions, with the goal of maintaining healthy feet for diabetic patients and improving their quality of life.
Active prevention and timely intervention can make a significant difference in managing diabetic foot and reducing the risk of severe complications such as amputation.
